CFCC's 2017 Food Summit takes place at Hart House, on University of Toronto's downtown campus. Hart House is a cornerstone of U of T cultural programming, and a student and community hub with a satellite farm location. For more info on Hart House, click here. For those driving to the venue, note that there is only on-street parking in the vicinity.

Note that the Friday night keynote event will not be held at Hart House.

Food Summit attendees are invited to stay at the Mariott Courtyard Toronto Downtown. Conveniently located just steps from the College subway station, it's about a 15 minute walk to the Summit location at Hart House.

Route to Summit Venue

1. Uber or Taxi. Standard taxi fare is $50 - 60. Uber can be slightly cheaper.

UP Express. This train goes directly from the airport to Bloor St. or Union station. From there you can take the subway to College station and walk a block north to the hotel. Cost is $12 one way.

Public bus to subway. This is the cheapest by far: $3.25. Take the public TTC bus called 192 Airport Rocket from the airport to the subway, then travel east many stops to Yonge/Bloor station, and transfer southbound two stops to College station.

Registration to the conference is free for Good Food Organizations, however you must pay for and arrange your own travel and accommodation. Please only register if you are sure you can attend.

We understand that attending this conference may cause financial strain for certain organizations, and so we are offering a limited number of $300 travel bursaries to GFOs who would be coming from further afield (7+ hour drive). If you wish to apply for a bursary, please email Mara Brotman at mara@cfccanada.ca and briefly explain how it would be useful to you. Priority will be given to those who have not previously received a bursary.

Who can attend
Only one staff member from your Good Food Organization may register. Preferably, this person is leading the charge behind the Good Food Organization membership and can share knowledge back with their team after the event. While we know only sending one person isn't ideal, we are striving to make this event an intimate and interactive experience with top notch content throughout. We hope you'll find that its small scale is one of its biggest strengths.
